Moan
14 June, 2007
Love only goes so far to describe how I feel for smart, eclectic minimal electro. But it is beyond insufficient when it comes to Anders Trentemøller and his [addictive] album The Last Resort. The Danish electronic musician’s genius composition of beautiful atmospheric blips and pulses, coupled with his unique rhythms and ability to remix and add precisely that needed touch to make a piece even greater, makes it no wonder that his 2006 debut album The Last Resort was voted number one by German Groove Mag and French Trax. Possibly one of the greatest video clips I’ve ever seen, and a fantastic song off of The Last Resort, enjoy the vocal Trentemøller remix for ‘Moan’, featuring Ane Trolle and directed by Niels Gråbøl and Ulrik Crone. In memory of Laika (✝1957), the first living creature to enter orbit.
