I read your essay carefully. Try this as a small, conscious experiment for a month or two...

Other than recording your thoughts here, tell people you know--unless they are family members far away--that if they are in reach, you prefer that you spend time with them face-to-face if possible. You see, you are right in this sense, something is getting lost. Not in the translation but in the form of communication itself. Your essay addresses that. But what is getting lost is not nostalgia for 'Grandmother's days and comforting ways' but the chemical balance which arises from being in the presence of a live human being as opposed to a machine. Connect again to the certain Qualia and energies that can only come through the chemistry--literally so--of another person in the same room as yourself. Technologically adept we are but, in terms of this generation in the West, we are most unbalanced and out of touch with our true selves which can only be found when we are wholly one--face-to-face--with the Other remembering ourselves at the same time and remembering that this this thing we call life is all too short for spending so much time in front of a machine. Only those energies--"love between the atoms" as one writer called it--that arise from-face-to-face contact sustain the soul forever.

Remember this if you remember anything about what is written here in this response: A machine is only a tool but human being is The best Way for Theosis.
